Tasky is committed to making its Platform usable by everyone, including people of determination and users with temporary or situational limitations. We aim to remove barriers that prevent any person from accessing our services with the same ease, dignity and independence as any other user.
This policy explains the standards we follow, the accessibility features we provide, and how you can request assistance or report a barrier.
1. Our commitment
We design, build and maintain the Tasky website and mobile applications with the goal of conforming substantially to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we take into account the UAE National Policy for People of Determination and Dubai’s objective of becoming a fully inclusive, accessible city.
Accessibility is treated as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time project. We review accessibility as part of our normal product development cycle.
2. Features we provide
Where technically feasible, the Platform is built to support:
Text alternatives for non-text content, so screen readers can describe images and icons.
Keyboard navigation for core flows such as posting a task, booking a Tasker, messaging and payment.
Sufficient colour contrast between text and background, consistent with Tasky’s brand palette.
Resizable text and responsive layouts that adapt to mobile, tablet and desktop without loss of function.
Clear, descriptive labels on form fields, buttons and links.
Captions or transcripts for instructional video content where reasonably practicable.
Compatibility with common assistive technologies and the built-in accessibility settings of iOS and Android.
3. Multilingual access
The Platform offers content in English and Arabic, with additional language support (including Urdu and Turkish) for selected flows, so that language is not a barrier to accessing services. Right-to-left layout is supported for Arabic.
4. Known limitations
Some content is provided by third parties (for example, profile photos, portfolio images, documents and messages uploaded by Taskers, customers or companies). We cannot guarantee that user-generated content meets accessibility standards, but we provide tools and guidance to encourage accessible submissions and we will assist on request.
5. Requesting assistance or an accessible format
If you experience difficulty using any part of the Platform, or you need information in an alternative format, contact us at [accessibility@tasky.ae] or [support@tasky.ae]. Please describe the page or feature, the device and assistive technology you are using, and the difficulty you encountered. We aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within [2] business days and to provide a meaningful response or workaround within [10] business days.
6. Feedback and continuous improvement
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of Tasky. Reports of barriers are logged, prioritised and used to improve the Platform. This policy is reviewed at least annually and updated as standards and our Platform evolve.
