This Cookies Policy explains how Tasky uses cookies and similar technologies (such as SDKs, pixels, local storage and mobile identifiers) on our website and applications, what they do, and how you can control them. It should be read together with the Tasky Privacy Policy.
Where required, we ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies, consistent with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use an app. Similar technologies include software development kits (SDKs) in mobile apps, web beacons or pixels, and device identifiers. We refer to all of these as “cookies” in this policy.
2. Categories of cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary
Required for the Platform to function — for example, signing in, keeping you logged in, securing your session, processing payments and remembering items in a task flow. These cannot be switched off through our consent tools.
2.2 Functional
Remember your preferences, such as language (English or Arabic), region and display settings, to give you a more personalized experience.
2.3 Performance and analytics
Help us understand how the Platform is used — which pages and features are popular, where users encounter difficulty, and how flows such as posting a task perform — so we can improve them. This data is used in aggregated or pseudonymized form wherever possible.
2.4 Geolocation
Support Tasky’s core feature of matching customers with nearby Taskers. Precise location is used only with your permission, which you grant through your browser or device settings and can withdraw at any time.
2.5 Advertising and marketing
Used to measure and improve our campaigns and, where you have consented, to show you relevant offers on third-party platforms such as social media. These may involve partners like Meta and TikTok.
3. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by service providers acting on our behalf, including analytics, payment, mapping and advertising partners. These providers may process limited data under their own privacy terms. We work only with providers that offer appropriate safeguards.
4. Managing your choices
Consent banner: when you first visit, you can accept or reject non-essential cookies and change your choices at any time through the “Cookie settings” link.
Browser controls: most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Platform working.
Mobile controls: you can reset or limit advertising identifiers and manage location and tracking permissions in your device settings.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy as our technologies or legal obligations change. The “last updated” date above shows when it was last revised.
