This page explains how to delete your data on Tasky, what happens when you do, and how long it takes. It applies separately to customers and to companies, since the two hold different kinds of data on the platform.
For customers
Request deletion from the app or website. Go to account settings and select delete account, or email privacy@tasky.ae with the subject line "Data deletion request" from the email or phone number linked to your account.
What gets deleted. Your name, contact details, saved addresses, account credentials, and app usage data tied to your identity.
What we keep, and for how long. Records of completed work involving you, such as invoices and transaction history, are kept where a company or Tasky has a legal, tax or accounting obligation to retain them. In the UAE this is typically five years. These records are retained for compliance only and are removed from active use.
Timeframe. Deletion is completed within 30 days of a verified request, except for the records described above.
Verification. We may ask you to confirm your identity before processing a deletion request, to stop someone else from deleting your data.
For companies
Request deletion from your account. A company owner can request account closure from company settings, or by emailing privacy@tasky.ae from an address linked to the company’s account.
Export before you delete. A company can export its own operating data, including customer records, work history, invoices and staff data, at any time before closing its account. Export remains available for 30 days after the account closes.
What gets deleted. After the 30 day export window, company data is deleted from the platform, including the sealed company space and everything in it.
What we keep, and for how long. Financial records Tasky is legally required to retain, such as billing and invoice history between the company and Tasky, are kept where the law requires it. Retained records are not accessible to any other company or used for any purpose beyond the legal obligation.
Data belonging to the company’s own customers. Because the company is the controller of its own customer data, a deletion request from one of that company’s customers may need to be handled by the company directly. Tasky will direct the request to the right place if it lands with us first.
